Translation: Trust me, I did not teach them anything; I just reminded them about those small things they had forgotten.
This is dialogue from one of my favorite movies. It just happened that my family and I watched it last weekend, and this dialogue fetched my attention. The lead character said above verbatim in elaboration to society’s current situation where everyone is sad and unhappy due to his/her various obligations and complications in life.
Why? Because everyone has forgotten the most crucial emotion of life, love.
We might have seen somewhere in society that two close relatives are not talking to each other, not having good relations. Maybe because of small issues. But it hasn’t always been like that. There must be a golden time for those people where they had good relations.
Two real brothers may not be talking now but shared a beautiful bond of love in their childhood. Maybe a sister and a brother had issues today, but they were tightly bonded and could do anything for each other at some point in time.
Why do people forget those good memories and separate themselves from each other?
Because they have forgotten those lovely moments of that ravishing bond, they shared with each other once upon a time.
Let’s rewind to those moments. If you don’t have adequate words with someone you know, remember good old times when everything was okay. May it be your cousins you’re not talking to today.
Remember how beautiful life it was. Is it worth keeping that silence with the one you shared beautiful moments once?
Ask this to ourselves and try to make that relationship work by reminding each other of those moments. Attempt for this society to be blessed with those small steps.
If you’re not having such sore relations, ask people around you or your family to make a difference in their lives.
Let’s make this society graceful with our small attempts by revisiting those happy and lovely moments we have forgotten over time with the ones we lost.
