One day my friends and I were discussing our future plans. All of us were discussing big dreams and goals. After listening to all of us, one of my friends said planning or dreaming isn’t sufficient for such bigger dreams; we need to be dedicated to achieving something big like this.
It reminded me of the Sanskrit shloka I studied in school. The shloka is:
उद्यमेन हि सिध्यन्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथैः। न हि सुप्तस्य सिंहस्य प्रविशन्ति मुखे मृगा: ।।
I still remember and thank my Sanskrit teacher for stressing our understanding of the shlokas.
It means if you really want your dreams (wishes) to come into reality, then you must put effort with hard work and dedication to accomplish it. Deer himself won’t enter into the mouth of a sleeping lion.
We might have heard about people discussing successful people such as “he is successful because he is lucky” or “he had facilities by birth, that’s why he succeeded” or “she got a job because she is a girl,” and so on. Often, we try to ignore the dedication and hard work successful people put into their dreams to come into reality.
Such thinking creates an excuse for hard work and dedication and makes people more lazy believing luck. Those who keep above thinking keep themselves unaware of the power of hard work and dedication. They want success to come into their way without them going to work hard for it.
If you’re not one of them and believe that hard work and dedication are above luck, then no problem, but if you’re one of them, then come out of this thinking.
Always remember your dedication and hard work is the only way to see your dreams into reality. Whenever you see anyone successful around you, try to get to know their struggles, dedication, and hard work they have put into accomplishing their goals.
Always put dedication and hard work into your dreams and see them coming into reality.
